Course Modules

This course will comprise of 2 units and 7 modules, following PR Smith’s SOSTAC approach to developing marketing strategies.

Unit 1 – Understanding the Business Environment

MODULE 1 – INTRODUCTION TO COMMUNICATION (5%)

MODULE 2 – CONDUCTING A SITUATION ANALYSIS (25%)

MODULE 3 – OBJECTIVES SETTING (10%)

MODULE 4 – DEVISING A STRATEGY (20%)

 

Unit 2 – The Marketing Mix

MODULE 4 – DEVELOPING A MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS PLAN (25%)

MODULE 5 – SUCCESSFULLY IMPLEMENTING A COMMUNICATIONS STRATEGY (10%)

MODULE 6 – DETERMINING KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS  (5%)

 

Assessments

The duration of this course will be 130 hours recommended to be completed over 13 weeks. The recommended 130 hours includes independent study, research and time to complete the assigned tasks. Upon completion of these hours a written assignment is to be submitted, which will be marked and graded by the School of Professional Development. Your written assignment will comprise of your completed tasks throughout this course.

Assessment for this course is 100% coursework.
